Now more than ever, wrongful dismissal lawsuits need to settle. Judicial backlogs, thin judicial resources and unpredictable outcomes underscore the need for resolution. Costly, time consuming and emotionally draining litigation rarely serves the interests of employers and employees.

Prior to 2024, Rishi has prosecuted and defended countless wrongful dismissal actions. He has represented both employees and employers at mediation. Rishi is well equipped to assist wrongful dismissal litigants in negotiating fair and reasonable settlements.

ABOUT RISHI

Called to the Ontario Bar in 2004, Rishi solely practiced labour and employment law until 2024 when he was appointed to the Ontario Labour Relations Board as Full Time Vice Chair.

From 2004 to 2012 Rishi only represented employers in labour, employment and human rights disputes. From 2013 to 2024, he maintained a mixed practice representing both employers and employees in a variety of employment related matters. Rishi was well regarded and trusted as a solicitor and opposing counsel, placing priorities on integrity, pragmatism and a foundation in the rule of law.

Rishi was recognized by his peers in the Best Lawyers in Canada Publication for 2023 and 2024.

AVAILABILITY & FEES

Rishi’s availability for mediation can be found on mediatordates.com. He is available for in person mediations, without additional cost, at his office in downtown Oakville, Ontario. Coffee and snacks included. Virtual mediations by Zoom are also available.

$2500 + HST

Fees are split between the parties, inclusive of preparation time and three hours of mediation.

Cancellation Policy

No Charge if notice of cancellation is received at least seven (7) business days in advance of the scheduled of the mediation. A cancellation fee of half of the mediation fee will be applicable where the mediation is cancelled with less than seven (7) days’ notice.
